"For me, art has been my companion, a way of recording, documenting, recalling, expressing and something to look forward to. This is evident in my recent body of work. Sometimes it is difficult to articulate ideas and emotions, but art making has also allowed me to express the experience, my ideas, and feelings visually. When I reflect on the art, I am also able to recall numerous aspects involved in the cancer experience from emotions to the individuals involved in my support. Art has been a constant thread that has been woven in, out and around the many challenges of cancer. Art making will continue to be the way I work through life and ideas."
